Kristen Wiig, Ben Affleck (With Kanye West) To Host Remaining ‘SNL’ Episodes

I’ll say this much about season 38 of SNL: it’s closing strong. The last unqualified celebrity to host the show was back in February, when Justin Bieber introduced #glice to the world and did little else. Since then, Christoph Waltz, Kevin Hart, Justin Timberlake, Melissa McCarthy, and Vince Vaughn have all walked the same hallowed halls as Charles Rocket, with Zach Galifianakis to come next week. As for the final two episodes of the season:

Kristen Wiig will host the May 11th episode with musical guest Vampire Weekend, who will be making their third appearance. We also learned today that Ben Affleck will host May 18th episode, which is the Saturday Night Live season 38 finale, with musical guest Kanye West. (Via)

This will be Affleck’s seventh appearance on SNL, and fifth as a host (fun fact: the last time, back in 2008, was our introduction to Stefon; he wasn’t on Weekend Update yet). As for Wiig, it’s about time. I’ve been worried since September that SNL wouldn’t get around to her and by proxy, Gilly. There are still SO many stories left to tell.

Classic Gilly.
