Awesome Couple At Gas Station Make Dumb ‘Leno’ Skit The Best Thing To Ever Happen On ‘Leno’

Look, we don’t need to tell you that watching Leno is worse than having an entire sack of angry rattlesnakes forcefully inserted into your cancer-stricken ass. You know this. I know this. We all know this. (Well, everyone except the old people in middle America who watch him. But we know this too, so let’s just move on.) But last night something miraculous happened: the show produced a highly entertaining bit.

Sure, a guest will occasionally do or say something noteworthy to provide us a reason to post about Leno, but rarely does anything good come from the cheesy bits they stage on the show. However, last night an adorable, fun, talented couple came storming into America’s heart via Leno, and now I’m starting to question everything I have ever known to be true, like that a diet consisting entirely of gumbo and bacon produces rock-hard, sustained erections well into octogenarianism. But then again, you know what they say about blind squirrels and all…

ANYWAY, the setup is simple: the show has this guy on a TV screen at gas stations seemingly delivering a news report until he is not and he starts talking to the people pumping gas. Then, as Gawker’s Neetzan Zimmerman put it, the Leno folk just happened to encounter “a ready-for-primetime couple whose lack of inhibitions and stellar karaoke skills make it physically impossible not to smile.” I couldn’t put it any better myself and I don’t really want to say anything and risk spoiling it so I will now just shut up and get out of the way.

Enjoy…
