Margot Robbie Flubbed The ‘SNL’ Season Premiere Goodbye, But That’s Okay

Bill O’Reilly once famously said, “f*ck it, we’ll do it live.” The cast of Saturday Night Live does just that every week, and sometimes things fall through the cracks. For the 42nd season premiere, we saw an n-bomb dropped, and at the end of the show, we witnessed Margot Robbie (who was pretty darn funny as the host) get straight shook when she realizes she missed her cue to say “goodnight” to the crowd and viewers at home. It’s cool, though. The flub is still pretty endearing for Australia’s sweetheart, and everything worked out in the end. The cast seemed to enjoy it, except Larry David, who was just kinda there, probably thinking about how he has to return some pants.

As you can see in the above clip, there are a few seconds of the Weeknd making Illuminati hand gestures to his Illuminati friends, then Kate McKinnon gives an elbow tap and says, “go go!” after Robbie realizes what just happened.

The Weeknd gives an “aw man” look to the camera, McKinnon laughs, and Margot does her best to give special thanks to the guests who joined her just as the show gets cut off. Larry David, of course, has no idea what’s happening. He’s just there. He probably didn’t even want to say goodbye so he could beat the traffic.
