Tim McGraw And Carrie Underwood Highlight A Country Music Edition Of Mean Tweets On ‘Kimmel’

As we’ve covered heavily in the past, Jimmy Kimmel Live has brought up the fact that Twitter can be pretty mean to celebrities, be they actors, athletes or pop musicians. On the heels of the CMA Awards, this seemed like a perfect opportunity to do a country music edition of the show’s Mean Tweets segment. Most of the biggest names in country (and one legend of the genre) showed up to read the meanest things that social media has ever let pass through its cautious filters.

While Blake Shelton didn’t show up to read anything about his dating life, Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley and Florida Georgia Line all read some mean tweets about themselves. Tim McGraw in particular got something comically harsh, though Willie Nelson’s tweet seemed a bit more matter-of-fact than anything. And he took it well because, screw it, he’s Willie Nelson. He takes everything well.
