The ‘Modern Family’ Dunphy Home Can Be Yours For A Large Sum Of Money

Do you enjoy crown molding, rich mahogany hardwood floors, having strangers knock at your door at all times of the day and night and happen to have 2.3 million dollars laying around? Well, if so, the Modern Family Dunphy home could be yours! The 2,792-square-foot, four-bedroom house in the Cheviot Hills area of West Los Angeles is only used for the exterior shots of the home, while the interior footage is filmed in a Hollywood sound stage. From The Hollywood Reporter:

Current owner Paul Chiames is paid a fee by the studio for each filming, according to the Wall Street Journal, and the new owner will have the option of doing the same, says listing agent Mitch Hagerman of Coldwell Banker Previews International.

Fans of the Emmy award winning show regularly knock on the door asking for tours or wanting to take photos out front, revealed Chiames, who bought it for $1.97 million in 2006. “I’ve met people from around the world,” he said.

You can view the home listing here, which has more details and photos of the interior for you real estate junkies out there. I just hope the new owner takes Aaron Paul’s advice not to give out free champagne to any lookie-loos that show up.
