Nancy Grace And CNN Faked A Split-Screen Remote Interview

So this is hilarious. Earlier this morning, Nancy Grace did an interview with Ashley Banfield to discuss the Cleveland kidnappings. Grace is currently in Phoenix covering the Jodi Arias trial, so the two of them did the segment via split-screen, which would have been a totally normal and not-hilarious thing to do if Banfield hadn’t also been in Phoenix. Standing in the same parking lot. Close enough that you can see the same car pass behind each of them in the GIF at the top of the page.

Luckily, Dashiell Bennett and Philip Bump of the Atlantic Wire were on the case.

It seems that Grace and Banfield are sitting in the same parking lot, facing in the same direction, and judging by the speed of the vehicles in their shots, they cannot be sitting more than 30 feet away from each other. Yet, they’re behaving as if the are on opposite sides of the world..

Like I said, hilarious. And as Bennett and Bump point out later in the post (which has lots more damning GIFs), there was even one moment where the same bus is in the background of both shots. Never change, CNN.
