Those Who Have Seen The Full Negan Scene From ‘The Walking Dead’ Have Been Left Disturbed By It

Who does Negan kill in the seventh season premiere of The Walking Dead? That’s the question everyone has been asking. In fact, the rumors about who is going to die have been so overwhelming that they have completely muddied the waters.

Nobody knows who is going to meet the other end of Negan’s bat, Lucille, except for the entire cast:

A few of the directors working on the series also know, because Greg Nicotero — an executive producer on the series and the director of the seventh season premiere — has shown them the footage. According to Nicotero, they have had a hard time shaking it off.

“Some of the incoming directors, when they come in, they read all the scripts,” Nicotero told Comicbook.com. “As the cuts are available, we went them to see because we want them to get a flavor for what we’re doing visually. A couple of people have seen it and then they stand next to me for about 24 hours going, ‘F**k!’ And I’m like, ‘What?'”

Nicotero, who intimated that the footage left them quivering, also stated that those who have seen it are saddened. “People cry, which makes me happy and sad at the same time.”

We do know that Morgan will survive the season premiere, as he’s featured on a new image from the series, debuted by Entertainment Weekly today.

Morgan and Carol will likely end up in another community, The Kingdom, run by King Ezekiel. Nicotero tells EW that, in season seven, “there is a very big world out there,” and the series will explore areas like The Kingdom, The Hilltop Community, and Negan’s community “in much greater detail.”

The Walking Dead returns in October.
