Nick Offerman Directed Michael Shannon In A Music Video For Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy

Jeff Tweedy is one of only two founding members of Wilco to still be with the band, but after nearly two decades, and another handful of years with Uncle Tupelo, he’s released his first solo album. (Technically, Tweedy is actually Jeff and his son, Spencer, but close enough.) It’s called Sukierae, Tweedy’s nickname for his wife Susan, who was diagnosed with a rare form of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma earlier this year (doctors are optimistic she’ll recover). One of the album’s best songs is “Low Key,” and the accompanying music video, directed by Nick Offerman and starring Michael Shannon, Conan O’Brien, Andy Richter, Chance the Rapper, Mavis Staples, Steve Albini, among others, is pretty great as well.

Now go back to writing your think piece on why Parks and Recreation is the Wilco of sitcoms.
