Paris Jackson as the Doctor in Doctor Who? Sure, Daily Star. Why not?

By now you’ve heard Matt Smith is no longer going to be the Doctor, with his last appearance coming during this year’s Doctor Who Christmas special. Even though the BBC likely lined up a replacement in January, that hasn’t stopped anyone (including us) from making suggestions. As Dustin said earlier, some of these suggestions have been completely batsh*t.

Leave it to a British tabloid to exceed all expectations by printing on their front page, “Jacko’s girl lined up to be new Dr Who.”

Yes, Michael Jackson’s 15-year-old daughter Paris Jackson is the new Doctor, claims the totally-reliable The Daily Star. Oh, British press, never change.

So where did they get this specious breaking news? As Bleeding Cool points out, they jumped to this conclusion because Paris Jackson jokingly tweeted, “omg i wanna be The Doctor they said any age & gender, right?”

Great work, British press. Clotted cream tea, Corgis, and repressed emotions all around.
