Conan, Fred Armisen And Carrie Brownstein Provide Some Handy 'Portlandia' Conversation Starters

This season of Portlandia has been one of those “unmemorable, but I love it” sort of experiences, save for Steve Buscemi outsmarting everyone in the name of celery. That said, I’m still glad it is on the air and I would be sad to see it go.

Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein stopped by Conan to promote Portlandia and the Portlandia Activity Book, but brought along a few side activities you won’t find in the book to share with the audience. It’s pretty delightful, but I still think I prefer the Parks And Rec Pawnee Guide when it comes to my television tie-ins.

Then again, the greatest of all “books based on towns and written by funny people” is Wigfield by Amy Sedaris, Paul Dinello and Stephen Colbert. It’s like Strangers With Candy mixed with Twin Peaks. I love it.
