Selfie King Val Kilmer Taught Conan A Few Tricks Last Night, Trashed Betty White

Quick note before we begin: Val Kilmer is the best at Twitter. He’s always posting super-strange selfies and retweeting pictures his followers send him of Val-Kilmer-as-Doc-Holiday tattoos, and … to be honest, I have no idea what he’s doing. It could be some huge performance art thing, but all I know is that I’ve been following him for about a year now, and my life is much richer for it. My top three Val Kilmer Twitter moments are as follows:

  1. This tweet, which, apologies to Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson, is probably my single favorite of all-time.
  2. The time he took a very serious selfie on an airplane, which is not all that great until you picture the confused faces of all the other passengers as they watch noted film actor Val Kilmer hold his phone 12 inches from his face to take a picture of himself.
  3. The time he misquoted his famous “I’m your Huckleberry” line from Tombstone (which he has done more than once, for the record), and Gourmet Spud and I got in an argument with him about it.

Point being: Val Kilmer was on Conan last night to promote his new Mark Twain stage show, and he taught Conan and Andy a few tricks to taking a good selfie. I recommend you watch it, and then follow Val Kilmer immediately.

And here’s a clip of Val discussing his feud with Betty White, which he also covers in the stage show. A stage show where he is in character as Mark Twain. Val Kilmer is dressing up as Mark Twain and taking shots at Betty White. This fascinates me.
