‘Sex Sent Me To The ER’ Is ‘Coming Back’ — TLC Orders Second Season Of Popular Series After Four Episodes

Sex sells. TLC is putting a little money into the idea that sex ending with someone in the emergency room sells even better. The network announced today that thirty-five more episodes of the popular series Sex Sent Me To The ER after only four episodes.

“Viewers will have no shortage of sexual mishaps to capture their attention as the breakout series has now been picked up for an additional 35 one-hour episodes,” TLC said in a release announcing the new episodes on Wednesday. “The series documents the real-life and often hilarious stories of what happens when passion turns to panic and leads to the ER.”

In case you’re slow on the uptake, Sex Sent Me To The ER chronicles awkward and odd but hilarious stories of real people landing in the emergency room after a sexual encounter. The first four episodes of the TLC series averaged 1.9 million total viewers.

Here is just a small sample of what to expect from the show. Let’s all laugh at this woman experiencing a 3-hour orgasm.

A three hour orgasm doesn’t sound like much fun unless the guy is experiencing an erection for longer than three hours from his erectile dysfunction meds. Then it’s a party in the ER.

Filming starts this month with new episodes of Sex Sent Me To The ER hitting the air in the second half of 2014.
