The only whiff of Sherlock we’ll be getting anytime soon is a special set in Victorian London. The first trailer was unveiled at Comic-Con and beyond the setting and the clothing, we still have the same characters from before. It’s just that Watson has a better mustache and is authoring a familiar title. And Sherlock has the hat and pipe now, that’s kind of cool.
After revealing that the special will also be playing in select theaters, Steven Moffat also noted that while writing for Season/Series 4 hasn’t started yet, he has an idea of what will be going on and that it will “sucker-punch you into emotional devastation,” which isn’t much different than waiting for new episodes of Sherlock.
