Tina Fey And Amy Poehler Will Host The ‘SNL’ Christmas Episode Together

The last time SNL had a pair of hosts was in 2004, when Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen closed out the season with musical guest J-Kwon. It’s a rarity (though, amusingly, Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey also shared duties that same year; before them, it was Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger in 1994), but Lorne Michaels will make an occasional exception. Especially when it’s Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, who will host the 2015 Christmas episode together.

Nice work, SNL. Fey and Poehler will obviously be great (and need all the press they can get, since their new movie, Sisters, comes out the same day as Star Wars: The Force Awakens), and it’s nice to see Ryan Gosling ending his mini-hiatus. He directed and wrote one movie in 2014, and stars in the upcoming The Big Short, with Christian Bale, Steve Carell and Margot Robbie as herself. Other than that, it’s been all quiet on the Baby Goose front, at least until Blade Runner 2 comes out.

The musical guests are also solid, with Leon Bridges, Chance the Rapper, and Bruce Springsteen following up this weekend’s likely Adele tear-fest. Oh yeah, and Chris Hemsworth is hosting again, too. Hopefully with his chicken.

That is one stupid sketch I wouldn’t mind seeing again.
