SNL has been on for 42 seasons — I’m fairly certain tonight is the first time the sketch series has centered a sketch around female escorts (the lovably daff porn stars don’t count). It’s definitely the first time the sketch series has centered a sketch around female escorts who dress up as Family Guy‘s Stewie Griffin and chug milk. Host Emily Blunt and Leslie Jones played two high-end call girls hired by 1980s-looking businessmen (think “That Guy” from Futurama). Things start out normal enough, until the ladies lay out what they will and won’t do. Blunt kisses, but only by barely sticking her tongue out; Jones will straight-up lick your face. Here’s where it started to get weird.
The obvious highlight was Blunt’s original maid character, Patty Pendergast, who’s like a sensual Jar Jar Binks (I’m sorry for that thought). It’s only a matter of time before her catchphrase, “Oopsie doopsie, I muffed it up,” takes over the nation. (Blunt couldn’t get through that sentence without breaking. Both times!) Same with “get off me, you douche. I need milk.” Through it all, even with all the bad impressions and bad sunglasses, the two virgin businessmen decide to go through with it. Who doesn’t have a “losing your virginity to someone while they’re chugging milk” story?
