Stop Sleeping In And Watch The Best Impersonation Of Rust Cohle From ‘True Detective’ You’ll See Today

Do you know those AT&T commercials where the man in a suit talks to little kids about whatever? Especially this adorable one? Well, throw away everything you knew about that and watch this new faux ad called AT&True Detective. It has the best Rust Cohle impression I have ever seen. If you look away while it’s playing, you’d never know that it wasn’t Matthew McConaughey by the guys voice:

Cohle – “What do you know about infinity?”

Boy – “It’s like…forever?”

Cohle – “Nahhhh, nothing is forever because nothing ever was.”

And it gets even more Rust Cohle after that. I’d like this to be a recurring series on Rust Cohle the kindergarten teacher. It would be recess and kids would ponder their existence while Cohle chain smoked in the middle of the baseball field. He’d be thinking about his daughter, and pondering his existence in a small town that no one has ever heard of. “If no one knows we’re here, are we here? Am I here? I need some beer. It’s after noon, and it’s drinking time.”
