In case you didn’t catch it yesterday, in one of live television’s more uncomfortable moments, on the mid-morning edition of “The Today Show,” noted drunkard Kathie Lee Gifford asked Martin Short how his wife is and then proceeded to talk about what a wonderful marriage they have. The problem? Martin Short’s wife died of ovarian cancer two years ago. Credit Short, however, for not making it an issue. The awkwardness arrives around 3:15 on the above video. Gifford apologized after the show.
