Taylor Kitsch Thinks It Would Be Nice If HBO Would Let Him Be In Season Two Of ‘True Detective’

It’s been a full month now since Vince Vaughn and Colin Farrell have been confirmed as leads in True Detective, and since then . . ? Radio silence. Rachel McAdams was the last name put out there in the revolving door of possible female leads, but interestingly, we still haven’t heard confirmation one way or another of Taylor Kitsch’s involvement — who was the first name tossed out with Colin Farrell.

So Access Hollywood caught up with Taylor Kitsch at the GQ Gentlemen’s Ball in New York City last night, and gave it their best shot to Access Hollywood the truth right out of him.

“Rumored right now, yeah,” Taylor said. When our producer suggested it would be nice to see the actor on the HBO show, he had an interesting response. “It would be nice, wouldn’t it? Yeah. So we’ll know in a couple days,” he said.

Asked if he really meant, yes, Taylor noted he couldn’t “really say anything about it.” But he did admit to being a fan of the first season. “I’m a mad fan for it. Nic Pizzolatto, the whole — everything, so I think it’s — I’m excited for Season 2 — if I’m in it or not,” he said.

Coy, Kitsch. Very coy. So I guess we’ll just have to wait a couple more days to officially learn who else gets to eat pizza and hot dogs with Vince Vaughn But if the above photo from last night’s event if any indication, at the very least he’s looking the part. I know Tim Riggins and that guy is no Tim Riggins.
