That Kid You Don't Remember from 'Small Wonder' Is Homeless Now

I watched a lot of “Small Wonder” when I was a kid, but I have only the vaguest recollection of Jerry Supiran, the kid who played the young Lawson son on the show. Life after “Small Wonder” hasn’t been very good to him, however. He hasn’t worked in Hollywood since “Small Wonder” left the air, and now he lives under a bridge. Like, literally. Blame it on the strippers, naturally. According to the National Enquirer via The NY Post:

When I was 18, I dated a stripper and she took what was left of my trust fund — then one of my advisers stole a half-million dollars from me,” Supiran told the supermarket tab.

The has-been actor’s final stop to homelessness came when he after losing his job as a waiter.

“I’ve worked at different steakhouses for the last 15 years,” he said. “But two years ago, I was laid off from a restaurant in Henderson, Nev., due to the economy. I haven’t been able to find a job since.”

Aww, that sucks for that dude, and as though to rub it in, Vicki the Robot is a Nurse out in Boulder, Colorado now. Show-off. I could’ve sworn, however, that Supira also played Lardass Hogan in Stand by Me, but it turns out that guy is doing OK, too, and by that, I mean: Not living under a bridge. Here’s Lardass’ before and after.

His name is Andy Lindberg, by the way, and good for Lardass.
