The Rock’s hosting stint on SNL this past season was one of the highlights of the season, mostly because the guy can almost will anything to be somewhat bearable. It’s probably obvious why this sketch was cut for time from the episode, but it might’ve played well at the ten-to-one spot near the end of the show.
Aidy Bryant is the bright spot here, but I usually think she’s good for a funny spot in a sketch. I just like the thought of The Rock attempting to play a guy lame enough to bring a Tinder date to THIS performance.
