‘The Walking Dead’ Confirms Its First Casting Addition Of The Sixth Season

The first confirmed addition to the sixth season of The Walking Dead has been made, according to the Hollywood Reporter, and it’s a key comic-book character. Corey Hawkins has been cast as Heath, an upcoming new resident of the Alexandria Safe Zone.

Minor Spoilers from the Comics

In the comics, Heath is a supply runner for the Alexandria Safe Zone who is — at one point — saved by Rick, Abraham and Aaron. He’s also a boyfriend to Denise, a doctor in the Alexandria Safe Zone who has not yet been cast. Heath is introduced into the comics in issue No. 69, and so far, he’s still alive, so he could stick around on the AMC series for quite some time.

End Spoilers

According to the original casting call, “Heath” could go by the name of Delvin in the series. Moreover, at least one more addition is expected in Season 6, and that’s expected to be Scott from the comics (who plays Heath’s best friend), although he could go by the name of Tucker in the series.

Corey Hawkins plays Dr. Dre in the upcoming N.W.A. biopic, Straight Outta Compton. He also had a very minor role in Iron Man 3.
