There’s not much to add to this beyond the facts and saying it’s really cool, so let’s just do that. This is a video titled “Game of Thrones, An Animated Journey” that was put together by a French production studio called Blackmeal. Set to the song “A Lannister Always Pays His Debts” from the series, it features cartoon versions of the show’s most notable characters marching across the screen and doing what they do. Examples: Jon Snow climbing the wall, Daenerys and her dragons raining destruction from the sky, Tyrion Lannister marching through a whorehouse, and so on. (Big shoutout to the prostitute and/or exotic dancer in the background at 0:50 who is standing on her head and folded up backwards like a pretzel, by the way.) It is, as I said up front, really cool.
The only downside here is that this essentially serves as a tantalizing trailer for the show’s fifth season, which doesn’t premiere until next spring. We still have most of fall and all of winter to go before then. This simply will not do.
