T.J. Miller Was Arrested For Allegedly Hitting His Uber Driver During An Argument About Trump

Best known for playing hot-head Erlich Bachman on Silicon Valley, comedian and actor T.J. Miller has found himself in hot water on Friday after being arrested for allegedly slapping his Uber driver. According to reports, Miller was intoxicated and heading home from the GQ’s Man of the Year event at Chateau Marmont Hotel in West Hollywood when he got into an altercation with his Uber driver. Apparently the argument was about Donald Trump, and the driver called the police on Miller and demanded a “citizen’s arrest.” It’s unknown what kind of injuries (if any) the driver suffered, and Miller has made bail and has promised to appear in court.

This might make things a little awkward for Miller during his hosting duties at the Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday night, but here’s hoping the issue can be settled quickly. Miller also stabbed himself in the ear with a safety pin during his appearance on Conan on Thursday night, so he may want to take it easy for a while. Possibly starting a drunken fight while covered in your own blood is a rough way to close out the year. Still, that would be pretty par for the course for a year like 2016.
