Can You Pick Out All Of The Pop Culture References In The ‘Today’ Show’s ’90s Themed Halloween?

Every year the Today show celebrates Halloween with a big themed ensemble costume, as we have seen the morning show’s homage to the 40th anniversary of Saturday Night Live and those terrifying Peanuts costumes in previous years. For this year’s costume they went with something a little less specific, as the big reveal this morning was a… drumroll please… ’90s theme! They even featured a special ’90s themed Halloween opening credits:

Your eyes weren’t deceiving you, that was in fact Matt Lauer as a “puffy shirt” wearing Jerry Seinfeld, Savannah Guthrie as Demi Moore’s pregnant nude Vanity Fair cover, Al Roker as Steve Urkel from Family Matters, Carson Daly as the Terminator, Tamron Hall and Willie Geist as John Travolta and Uma Thurman’s characters from Pulp Fiction, as well as Kathie Lee Gifford and Hota Kotb as Regis and Kathie Lee. Okay, you have to admit that last one was pretty damn good.

Also… Did I mention Al Roker as Steve Urkel? I did mention that, right?

Other highlights included Bryant Gumbel reprising his Seinfeld cameo, the Reeg (Regis Philbin) stopping by to visit his old co-host doppelganger, the Today puppy dressed as a Beanie Baby, and Jenna Bush Hager dressing as her “Gammy” Barbara Bush.

Oh, and of course Smashmouth also stopped by, who were going as “Smashmouth” presumably.
