‘The Daily Show’ Focus Group For Donald Trump Went About How You’d Expect It To

With Donald Trump still leading the polls into Tuesday’s GOP debate, it seemed like a good idea for networks to hold focus groups to figure out what it is that Trump’s supporters like about him so much. Maybe it is his fiery personality and combative style against the likes of Jeb Bush? Maybe it’s the way his cronies handle protestors? Or maybe it’s his controversial views on foreign policy?

The Daily Show decided they would hold their own focus group, and things went about how you’d think it would. Lots of folks talking loud and saying nothing, as James Brown would say. There weren’t any wide-eyed Trump supporters going on about the “liars” in government, but it was a little wild. When it got to the point that supporters had trouble differentiating Trump quotes to those of a “racist sandwich,” it managed to even give the group some pause. Holding the mirror up to Trump supporters.

It’s nice to see that through it all, all the bad things, the Trump supporters still stick with their guy. Much respect.
