As the presidential race of 2016 hits unprecedented levels of vitriol and absurdity, culminating with the leaked footage of the Republican candidate actually bragging about what amounts to sexual assault, all we can do is laugh. Because otherwise, all we would do is cry. (And that doesn’t mean that we don’t do that either.) So, much like some genius on the Internet took Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton’s debate sniping and brilliantly set it to “I’ve Had the Time of My Life” from Dirty Dancing, on Monday night Jimmy Kimmel took the audio from Trump’s disgusting remarks to Billy Bush and laid it over the beloved animated sitcom, The Flintstones.
Kimmel explains: “At one point, Trump brags about being able to do anything he wants with women, including grabbing them by their lady parts. It’s a bit unsavory, and we wanted to create a version of this tape that could be enjoyed by an audience of all ages. So we took the audio from what Trump said to Bush on the bus, and we paired it with video from The Flintstones, and this is what happens when Access Hollywood goes to Bedrock.”
If only there were a real life Saber-toothed tiger to rip Trump apart when he says this stuff in real life.
