‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’ Season Two Will Have More Singing, More Dancing, And A New ‘Peeno Noir’

Netflix continues to make our transition from winter to spring a joyous one with lots of great original programming debuts. The latest and greatest for us all to look forward to? The second season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Tina Fey’s spiritual successor to 30 Rock. The show returns with 13 more episodes on April 15.

Fans of the show fell in love with Kimmy’s positivity and exuberance, and you can expect that to carry on into season two with even more singing and dancing.

“Kimmy already has a song in her heart, and it’s part of Titus’s character as a theater guy to know that songs can be an effective way to communicate emotion,” co-creator Robert Carlock told Entertaiment Weekly. He also promises several new songs from Titus Andromedon that will give season one’s viral hit ‘Peeno Noir’ a run for its money. “I’m hoping the viral song is a song that Titus, in a sort of feverish fugue, sings about teeth. I’ll say no more!”

One character who won’t be singing though is Jane Krakowski, who has a Tony Award in real life and previously played the eager songbird Jenna Maroney on 30 Rock.

“The bitter irony is that we think Jacqueline can’t sing. Poor Jane has to just sit there and listen to everyone else.”
