Armando Iannucci is a very busy man, so he’s doing a bit of schedule-clearing. After the current fourth season of HBO’s Veep, he will depart as showrunner and hand the job over to David Mandel. According to Variety, Iannucci is feeling the strain of running a stateside show while maintaining his home life in London. But Veep is in good hands with HBO alum Mandel, who previously ran Curb Your Enthusiasm. Nothing to worry about here.

Iannucci won’t be taking too long of a break, however. He recently announced a series about Russian dictator Josef Stalin, as well as an interest in reteaming with The Thick of It star Peter Capaldi for an episode of Doctor Who. And now that he’s going to have the time for Capaldi again, that will give him lots of time to find some colorful new catchphrases for the Doctor.
