Vice Principals is a new comedy from the Eastbound and Down team that debuts on HBO this July. It stars Danny McBride and Walton Goggins as feuding high school vice principals. It stars Kenny Powers and Boyd Crowder as feuding high school vice principals. If the show hadn’t already won your heart with those few sentences alone (if, say, you wanted to wait for some sort of visual confirmation that the show looks promising, possibly a teaser-type video released by HBO that features Danny McBride getting meat thrown at his head and Walton Goggins wearing a series of remarkable bow ties), I have excellent news for you: the trailer is posted above and it is delightful.
B-b-but wait, there’s even more. Here’s a brief description of the series from the website for SXSW, where the first episode will be premiering.
Created by Danny McBride and Jody Hill, who also created EASTBOUND & DOWN comes VICE PRINCIPALS, a dark comedy series that tells the story of a high school and the two people who almost run it, the vice principals. McBride and Walton Goggins star as the V.P.s who are an in epic power struggle, vying for the top spot: to be school principal. The half-hour series is slated for 18 episodes over two seasons.
Yes. Yes, this will do nicely.

Sign me up.
i will watch Walter Goggins do anything
Ditto but by contrast, I can’t stomach Danny McBride in anything.
I saw him give a handjob to a llama once. Not as interesting as it sounds.
Holy hell… How am I just hearing about this now?!?
I must jam this in my face holes immediately.
I choose to believe this is just Kenny Powers and Boyd Crowder’s new job after joining witness protection.
But Boyd wasn’t placed in wit…nevermind, me too.
Hook it to my veins
The bowties are great, but I am all about Boyd Crowder eating cafeteria food with chopsticks.
He is right you know: It’s not funny to hit a man in the face with meat.
It’s serious business.
I’m glad that it’s a limited run series. That’s a promising sign.
Yep, I’m sold… Because Goggins
Joo-leye?
