Watch The First Tense Teaser For ‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7

The Walking Dead season seven doesn’t premiere until October, but in anticipation of the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel (and display where you can pretend to be Negan’s victim), a new teaser trailer was just released on Twitter. There’s not much new footage — that will likely come with a full-length trailer later today — but it does show Negan playing the world’s worst game of Duck Duck Goose with his barbed-wire baseball bat, Lucille. Who among Rick’s camp is the Goose? We’ll have to wait until October to find out.

Every one of the 11 cast members — Rick, Carl, Michonne, Daryl, Maggie, Glenn, Abraham, Eugene, Sasha, Aaron, and Rosita — around Negan’s circle filmed a death scene, and “producers and the episode director [worked] with the show’s editors and pick the character who does indeed die.” Creator Robert Kirkman confirmed during a separate Comic-Con panel yesterday that the victim isn’t Rick, which, obviously, and it’s probably not Glenn, either.

Here’s what executive producer Greg Nicotero said about the scene:

“Some of the incoming directors, when they come in, they read all the scripts. As the cuts are available, we went them to see because we want them to get a flavor for what we’re doing visually. A couple of people have seen it and then they stand next to me for about 24 hours going, ‘F*ck!’ And I’m like, ‘What?’… People cry, which makes me happy and sad at the same time.” (Via)

We’ll post the full trailer when it’s available.
