Weekend Preview: Holy Crap, It’s Good

Treme (HBO, Sunday) – The season two premiere follows “Game of Thrones.” See that, other networks? That is exactly how you do things.

The Killing (AMC, Sunday) – I keep hearing pretty good things about it, but I jumped off the train after the first two episodes. I am entirely too delicate a flower to handle this show. What’s that? No, I’m not crying. It’s just… I have, uh… an allergy… to… sad things. YOU SHUT UP!

Talking Funny (HBO, Friday) – The sit-down conversation between comedians Ricky Gervais, Jerry Seinfeld, Louis CK, and Chris Rock is getting rave reviews. (AV Club’s review here.) As a diehard comedy spaz, I’ll probably watch this 65 times this weekend, then watch a million clips of these guys on Youtube, then pour myself a Jameson or two, then BOOM Monday.

Throwdown with Bobby Flay (Food Network, Saturday) – Commenter Michelle07 (aka Michelle Doll of Michelle Doll Cakes in Brooklyn) takes on Bobby Flay in a rerun that airs Saturday at 7:30pm, according to my listings. Uproxx represent!

The Borgias/Camelot (Showtime/Starz, Sunday/Friday) – Sorry, y’all. “Game of Thrones” already filled my “period drama that airs over the weekend on a pay channel and features bunches of violence and nudity” quota. Sucks to be you.

After the jump, a dramatization of what I’ll be doing the rest of the night.
