Weekend Preview: NFL Playoffs And, Uh, ‘Downton Abbey’

NFL Playoffs — Kansas City and Indianapolis (NBC, Saturday at 4:30), New Orleans at Philadelphia (NBC, Saturday at 8 p.m.), San Diego at Cincinnati (CBS, Sunday at 1:05) and San Francisco at Green Bay (Fox, Sunday at 4:40 p.m.) It’s one of the best weekends of the NFL season, and the matchups on Wild Card weekend do not disappoint, except for the Chargers/Bengals game, because who cares (no offense, people in Cincinnati and San Diego, although even Chargers fans must hate Phillip Rivers, right?) Anyway, it’s a good weekend to be snowed in. I feel sorry for all those people who aren’t trapped under a foot of snow in subzero temperatures, because you’re going to feel compelled to do something productive instead of vegging on football.

Orange Bowl (ESPN, Friday 8 p.m.) — Clemson vs. Ohio State. Ohio State is favored by two and a half, but all the action is on Clemson. This has been your weekly gambling report.

Grimm/Dracula (NBC, Friday 9 p.m.) — Don’t much care, but hey! Hannibal will be replacing Dracula in less than two months. His first course of business will be to eat Jonathan Rhys Meyers’ piercing blue eyeballs.

The Following: Revisited (Fox, Saturday 11:30 p.m.) — If you want to catch up on the entire first season in under an hour, here’s a suggestion: Don’t. Here’s my summary: Dumb, dumb, dumb, raven, dumb.

The Simpsons/Bob’s Burgers (Fox, Sunday 8 p.m.) — Y’all remember when Josh made 8 gourmet burgers from Bob’s Burgers? Well, some other fella has devoted an entire tumblr to different Bob’s Burgers creations.

The Good Wife (CBS, Sunday 9 p.m.) — That little bombshell that Melissa George’s character dropped in the fall finale is not what it seems, is it? IS IT? Because, dear God, I don’t think my heart could take it.

Downton Abbey (PBS, Sunday 9 p.m.) — The season premiere is two hours long, but three if you count the necessary naps.
