Here's What's Coming To Amazon Prime In September Including 'Jigsaw'

Don’t sleep on Amazon Prime this fall. The streaming platform is ramping up its lineup, scoring some big blockbusters fresh from the box office and offering up a few brand new series slated to hit TV later next month. From cult-favorite horror flicks to critically-acclaimed family dramas and everything in between, here’s what’s coming to Amazon Prime this September. Good luck watching it all.

Jigsaw (9/29)

The eighth installment of the Saw series picks up 10 years after the supposed death of John Kramer. A copycat killer is on the loose, leaving a winding trail of bodies for cops to sort through as a group of former criminals is once again tested in the most gruesome of ways. Beheading, severed legs, acid melting people’s faces off, pretty much every worst-possible-death-scenario is played out in this one but if the gore starts to bore, there’s a wicked twist at the end that should keep you on the edge of your seat.

Shameless (Showtime) (9/9)

Season nine of Showtime’s dysfunctional family drama picks up right where season eight left off. The Gallagher clan have miraculously found themselves above the poverty line for once but the scars of past trauma and the codependence bred from their f*cked-up family unit have left their mark. Fiona’s currently drowning in an unhealthy relationship that could hit rock bottom soon, and Lip is struggling to find himself now that he’s finally free of the booze.

Suburbicon (9/28)

This dark comedy-drama directed by George Clooney and written by the Coen brothers centers on a mild-mannered family man named Gardner Lodge (Matt Damon) finds himself in a bit of a pickle after he hires a pair of goons to kill his wife so he can cash out on her insurance plan and flee to Aruba. A few people stand in the way of paradise: his wife’s twin sister, Margaret (Julianne Moore), a nosy mob henchman (Oscar Isaac) a couple of thugs, and Gardner’s son Nicky (Noah Jupe).
