WHAT’S ON: OFFICE/WIRE, OBAMA ON LENO

The Office (NBC) — As previously and breathlessly reported, Idris Elba (Stringer Bell from “The Wire”) begins his six episode stint as Michael’s boss on tonight’s episode.  TV Addict has a couple of preview clips that aren’t funny but show some promise.  Needs more Omar.

The Tonight Show (NBC) — Barack Obama will become the first sitting president to appear on “The Tonight Show.”  In a related story, the guy who books people for Letterman is updating his resumé today.

NCAA Tournament (CBS) — Watch as your bracket implodes on the first day of the tournament.

Making the Band (MTV) — The members of Day26 argue over their next album, making Diddy wonder if there’s a “Making the Band” curse.  I guess no one wanted to posit the notion that creating a boy band from a televised competition is actually a terrible idea for longevity and creativity.  But what do I know?  I’ve never even leeched off of more talented rappers to make millions.

Heli-Loggers (TLC)  Helicopters.  Loggers.  Need I say more?
