The Sing-Off (NBC) — Miniseries premiere. Nick Lachey hosts another singing competition (because, you know, “Clash of the Choirs” was such a timeless television classic). This time, it’s a capella groups, and if the video above of them gang-raping the sublime beauty of Queen and David Bowie’s “Under Pressure” doesn’t make you want to put your fist through an NBC executive’s trachea, you and I probably can’t be friends.
The Closer (TNT) — Kyra Sedgwick gets all the coffee she wants.
Men of a Certain Age (TNT) — Apparently this is pretty decent, but I’m not sure I can bring myself to watch a Ray Romano show on TNT. But I’ll try to check it out. If I remember. Which I probably won’t.
Cake Boss (TLC) — The Long Island Hell’s Angels ask for a cake, destroying every badass stereotype about motorcycle clubs that “Sons of Anarchy” worked so hard to create.
Jennifer Hudson: I’ll Be Home for Christmas (ABC) — Thanks, but I didn’t ask.
Monday Night Football (ESPN) — Woof: 49ers at Cardinals. No KSK live-blog for that crap factory.
NHL Hockey (Vs.) — Sabers at Canadians. I took the liberty of Americanizing the teams’ names. How aboot that?
