What’s On Tonight: AMC’s Spy Drama ‘TURN’ Returns, And The Truth Comes Out On ‘Bates Motel’

TURN: Washington’s Spies (AMC, 9:00 p.m.) – The turn of the century spy thriller is back. In the two-episode premiere of Season 2, we see Farmer Abe become a full-fledged member of the Culper Ring whose current mission is to infiltrate New York City. Meanwhile, Simcoe escapes his punishment, John Andre tries to seduce Peggy Shippen, and we get our first look at that sleazy traitor Benedict Arnold.

Bates Motel (A&E, 9:00 p.m.) – Norma’s mental break continues, and she decides that the best way to deal with her psychotic, murderous teenager is to bail on him and the hotel. While she makes a run for it, Norman is helped by Emma and Dylan through a rough night (in translation, he probably kills someone or remembers that he killed someone), and Romero deals with a dangerous new threat.

Gotham (Fox, 8:00 p.m.) – Fish Mooney is still planning her escape from the Dollmaker, the future Batman and Catwoman have a confrontation with their friend Reggie, and a serial-killing ogre is on the loose. Apparently, in Gotham, ogres don’t befriend donkeys and marry princesses; they like to murder and mutilate young, vulnerable women. So, thanks Disney.

The Originals (CW, 8:00 p.m.) – Dear old aunt Dahlia is back and along with reuniting with her long-lost family members, she seems very interested in stealing her nephew’s baby in order to harness her new powers. Who said family reunions weren’t fun?

WWE Monday Night Raw (USA, 8:00 p.m.) – The guys in spandex head to jolly ol’ England, and after the events of WrestleMania, there’s no love lost between Randy Orton and Seth Rollins. Expect the two to clash before Extreme Rules in two weeks.

Jane the Virgin (CW, 9:00 p.m.) – Tonight’s lesson is that crazy future mothers-in-law suck. So do family events, jobs and psychotic ex-girlfriends of your current (accidentally artificially inseminated) baby daddy.

Scorpion (CBS, 9:00 p.m.) – Walter learns the big secret Cabe’s been keeping all season and like the emotionally stunted genius he is, he throws a temper tantrum that threatens to destroy the entire team.

The Following (Fox, 9:00 p.m.) – The FBI is sure they’re close to bagging the creeps responsible for the latest string of killings, but because Ryan just can’t let these kinds of things go easily, he starts digging deeper and puts himself in a dangerous situation.

The Returned (A&E, 10:00 p.m.) – Claire and Jack are still on the hunt for Lena as Lucy recovers from that unfortunate stabbing incident and finds that she’s been irrevocably changed by the experience. (Umm, duh?)

LATE NIGHT GUESTS: Sarah Jessica Parker on Letterman; Robert Downey, Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner and Chris Evans on Kimmel; Christoph Waltz and George Ezra on Corden; Adam Horovitz on The Daily Show; and Chris D’Elia on Conan. Fallon and Meyers are repeats.
