No Justified. No Cougar Town. No New Girl. It’s a good night to catch up on Vikings, Top of the Lake, and check out SyFy’s Defiance and Starz’ Da Vinci’s Demons.
Awkward (MTV, 10 p.m.) — This is actually a pretty great coming of age show, and the only show on MTV I watch. It’s kind of like the female version of The InBetweeners crossed with The Wonder Years, if you’re into that sort of thing.
Splash (ABC, 8 p.m.) — This show would be a lot better if they emptied the pool first.
Dancing with the Stars (ABC, 9 p.m.) — How desperate are you?
Ready for Love (NBC, 9 p.m.) — Uh, you were better off with Dancing with the Stars.
Fat Kid Rules the World (Netflix, Anytime) — If you have an hour and a half to kill tonight (and you should, considering what else is on TV), give this movie a shot. Trust me. It’s directed by Matthew Lillard, and never gained distribution, but it’s going to blow you away on Netflix.
