What's On Tonight: TACOS TACOS TACOS TACOS

Mexican Food Paradise (Travel Channel, 10 p.m.) – The What’s On Tonight is always a tough post to write for two reasons: 1) I feel like I’m talking about the same shows over and over and over and it makes it tough find something original to say every week, and 2) It goes live around 5 p.m., which is right when I am starting to get HUNGRY. Ergo, I am leading tonight’s listings with a show about Mexican food and a picture of tacos.

The Americans (FX, 10 p.m.) – Philip reunites with an old flame tonight. I hope it’s Olivia Newton-John.

Whitney (NBC, 8 p.m.) – ONLY MAKES THE LIST BECAUSE DEAN NORRIS FROM BREAKING BAD IS GUEST-STARRING TONIGHT. INCLUSION IS NOT NECESSARILY AN ENDORSEMENT. ALL SALES FINAL. PLEASE CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR.

Southland (TNT, 10 p.m.) – From TV Guide: “John mulls over the life he’ll have once he leaves the LAPD; Lydia bonds with a man she sent to death row in the past; an annoyed Sammy becomes a tabloid celebrity in the wake of a heroic act; Ben makes a questionable decision while tracking a drug dealer.” There is a lot going on tonight. I feel like someone should be taking notes.

Psych (USA, 10 p.m.) – I have said this before, but the best part of this show — and it isn’t even close — is the faces Dulé Hill makes throughout the episode. Just watch him tonight. Only him. Improves the show by 30-40%.

Workaholics (Comedy Central, 10 p.m.) – The guys go hunting for video games. I’m sure everything will go smoothly.

LATE NIGHT GUESTS: Jim Carrey is on Letterman; Olivia Wilde is on Ferguson; Jerry Seinfeld and Mark Cuban are on Leno; Steve Carell, Abigail Breslin, and Justin Timberlake are on Fallon; and Halle Berry, Ben Hoffman, and Aimee Mann are on Conan.
