What’s On Tonight: The ‘Game Of Thrones’ Writers Discuss Dungeons And/Or Dragons

The Writers Room (Sundance, 10 p.m.) — The Dean chats with Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss about WHY ISN’T GAME OF THRONES SEASON 4 ON RIGHT NOW.

Mud Lovin’ Rednecks (Animal Planet, 8 p.m.) — Series premiere. Prepare to meet your new favorite family, America. There’s Lil Bit and Bubba and who could forget Fat Legs. I’ve got an idea: Mud Lovin’ Rednecks could do a crossover episode with Lions Gone Wild, and Mufasa eats Fat Legs. The end.

Glickman (HBO, 9 p.m.) — HBO documentary series turns its attention to Marty Glickman, the famous Jewish track and field star-turned-announcer who mentored the likes of Marv Albert, Bob Costas, and Jiminy Glick.

The Glades/Longmire (A&E, 9/10 p.m.) — Season finales. OK.

Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives (Food Network, 9:30 p.m.) — Season premiere. It’s been a long, sticky summer without you, Guy, and now it’s going to be an even longer, stickier fall with you.

Under the Dome (CBS, 10 p.m.) — Tonight’s episode is titled “Let the Games Begin,” so I assume Chester’s Mill newest resident is none other than Bane. That, or everyone decides to play the Leonard Maltin Game.

LATE NIGHT GUESTS: Patrick Dempsey and Amy Sedaris on Letterman and Jeff Daniels on Leno.
