The X Factor (Fox) — Series premiere. Finally! I’ve been waiting years for a show that’s just barely different from “American Idol.”
Law & Order: SVU (NBC) — Season premiere. A hotel maid accuses a diplomat of sexual assault in this completely original story that was not at all ripped from the headlines.
Revenge (ABC) — Series premiere. Madeleine Stowe and Emily VanCamp star in this awful-looking murder-mystery from the producers of Twilight.
Modern Family (ABC) — Season premiere. The Pritchetts and Dunphys head to Wyoming for a cattle-ranchin’ hour-long episode. Now I can stop being mad about this show winning all the Emmys and just be happy that it’s back on the air.
CSI: Original Flavor (CBS) — Season premiere. Ted Danson debuts as the new star. A huge upgrade from Laurence Fishburne, who I used to like before he got all puffy.
