Even Miguel Can't Make Elton John's 'Bennie And The Jets' Listenable

Over 40 years ago, Elton John released Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, dooming FM radio to an eternity of playing “Bennie and the Jets” every nine seconds. It’s one of John’s worst song, and definitely the worst song on his most well-known album, and considering the number of times we’ve heard John implore the kids to plug into the faithless (approximate count: seven billion), it’s practically unlistenable at this point.

So kudos to Miguel and Wale for trying to salvage the track for an upcoming Goodbye reissue, but nope, even they can’t it make it better than “OK.” Maybe try “I’ve Seen That Movie Too” next time?
