Four new TV spots and a couple new posters have been released for Green Lantern. Take a wild guess if we get to hear the oath again in any of the commercials. I’m in the habit of thinking, “no whammies no whammies no whammies” whenever I click play, and then Ryan Reynolds yells, “Green Lantern’s light” and I make the sad trombone noise. I am required to make sound effects to narrate my life. (I was cursed by a wizard. Also it’s really fun.)
Anyway, we’ve seen most of the Green Lantern Corps members above before, so I won’t list them all again. (Our who’s who of what’s that can be found here and here.) All the TV spots are after the jump. And finally, to the right is a candid picture of Peter Sarsgaard hanging out on set prior to getting in the makeup chair. It’s a rare thing indeed to see Sarsgaard’s forehead without any makeup or special effects, but he’s such a good actor it’s worth the extra CGI to have him in your movie. This is the same reason they CGI out his wife Maggie Gyllenhaal’s turtle shell in all her movies.
