It’s time for Gamma Squad’s Friday cosplay feature, spotlighting the best comic book related costuming from the cosplay community. We’re again casting the spotlight onto those cosplayers who we think deserve special recognition for coming up with the best costumes, whatever the budget, and the photographers who capture them for posterity.
This week, we’re turning our attentions to the Super-family, friends and foes, showing the very best of Superman related cosplay. We’d like to thank all those who have submitted their work to our Flickr group, as well as to our friends at The Superhero Costuming Forum for producing some fantastic work for us to spotlight.
We hope you enjoy the selection!
Starting things off with the original Superman, striking a pose in this excellent cosplay.
A darker twist on Kara Zor El, wonderfully cosplayed in this impressive action shot.
Who doesn’t love Bizzaro? And the detail in this cosplay by the talented SkrullLantern is what makes it great.
We couldn’t let Superman theme week pass without including Lois Lane and this atmospheric shot by VictoriaCosplay certainly deserves inclusion.
Showing that a huge budget isn’t always required, Tallsquall’s Superboy perfectly looks the part.
Whether Karen Starr’s Superman’s cousin or not seems to vary weekly, but either way, we’re happy to feature this great shot of a perfect Power Girl.
Another fantastic costume from THE SMOKE and we’re always pleased to feature his work once again.
A super shot of Supergirl, appropriately enough. Great cosplay. Great photography. The perfect combination.
We couldn’t have a Superman celebration without featuring his arch nemesis and this beautifully realized cosplay of Lex Luthor in his power suit certainly deserves highlighting.
And rounding things off for this week, Superman, as seen in Mark Millar’s Red Son, fantastically recreated.
