After This Easter Skydiving Accident, Easter Egg Hunts May Officially Be Cursed

Just a few days after a dead body turned up during an Easter Egg hunt a woman was having with her child, comes this story out of Washington Township, New Jersey. Remember that episode of Married With Children where the skydiving Santa from the Lakeside Mall landed in the Bundy’s backyard and ruined/saved Christmas? Well that totally happened this weekend, only it was during an Easter Egg hunt and I’m pretty sure Easter was just ruined.

At around 2:10 p.m. Sunday, the Dye family of Washington Township was holding their annual Easter egg hunt when they noticed the usual sight of the skydivers. “I saw the jumpers. Then I noticed one, and he kind of looked like he was conscious. He was just spinning,” Annie Marie Dye said.

Authorities say Shenker fell into a nearby backyard at Cross Keys Bypass and Tuckahoe Road. Neighbors rushed to help. They say he did not appear conscious, but he was breathing. “We all started running to see what we could do to help him,” Lamont Dye said.

According to ABC Philadelphia, the victim was a 49-year-old Brooklyn resident was an experienced diver who had jumped hundreds of times, so it was unclear as to whether or not it was an issue with his suit or chute. Either way, all I can say is: No thank you. This is exactly why I’m content with the riskiest thing I do in my life is sometimes jaywalking. But only if there are definitely no cars coming in either direction.
