Well, here’s one for the Amazing Spider-Man haters! Sony has released a new clip from The Amazing Spider-Man 2, featuring Spidey’s showdown with a pre-Rhino Paul Giamatti, and wow, this is some straight-up Spider-Man 3 stuff. You know, I take that back — Spider-Man 3 was actually funny. This is some Batman & Robin s–t.

Eee-yup. A truck straight out of the 80s Ninja Turtles cartoon with “plutonium” tubes rattling around in the back. Spider-man juggling said tubes, which could wipe out all of New York, in a scene we’re supposed to laugh at. I guess?

Why do we hear this pounding surf when they’re standing beside a placid duck pond? I liked the first Amazing Spider-Man quite a bit, but woof, this sequel — I dunno.
