Arian Foster Out For Season, Set To Undergo Back Surgery

What’s been a less than promising season for the Texans just went from bad to worse. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport tells that Houston’s Arian Foster will need back surgery to fix a lumbar spine issue, ultimately forcing him to miss the remainder of the season. The Texans running back originally hoped to avoid going under the knife but visits with different specialists revealed surgery as the only viable option.

The 2-6 Texans square off against Arizona today and Foster will be replaced by Ben Tate, who has four cracked ribs of his own to deal with.
