Arnold Schwarzengger is 71 years old. That’s something to consider when watching the below video, in which the bodybuilding legend, former governor, and sometimes Terminator gets drop-kicked and barely notices.
The incident occurred Saturday in South Africa. Schwarzenegger was at the Arnold Classic Africa, a bodybuilding event held in Johannesburg, taking a Snapchat video with fans, minding his own business. Out of nowhere… well, you can watch the video, although it’s a bit blurry.

Here’s another angle:
Wow!! Former CA Governor Arnold @Schwarzenegger drop kicked at an event in South Africa. pic.twitter.com/u20xdnsESm

As you can see, one of the attendees leapt at Schwarzenegger with all his might, kicking him right in the small of his back. But instead of taking the screen legend down, it was the assailant who hit the bricks. It’s as though the man hit a brick wall, although his target did wobble, but only a bit. According to The Guardian, the kicker was immediately restrained by security.
The video went viral, leading Schwarzenegger — who was, again, unharmed by getting a drop-kick to his septuagenarian body — addressing the incident.
Thanks for your concerns, but there is nothing to worry about. I thought I was just jostled by the crowd, which happens a lot. I only realized I was kicked when I saw the video like all of you. I’m just glad the idiot didn’t interrupt my Snapchat.

“Thanks for your concerns, but there is nothing to worry about. I thought I was just jostled by the crowd, which happens a lot,” he wrote, before adding these frankly incredible words: “I only realized I was kicked when I saw the video like all of you. I’m just glad the idiot didn’t interrupt my Snapchat.”
He also tried to deflect attention from “the guy who wants to be famous” to the hard-working titans at his event.
Do me a favor: instead of sharing the video of the guy who wants to be famous, watch some of our @ArnoldSports athletes like this young hero proving that fitness is for everyone who deserve to be famous. They’re on my Snapchat. pic.twitter.com/EuMynJ7t1n

But eventually even Schwarzenegger couldn’t help but share the incredibly badass video of him taking a kick like a god.
And if you have to share the video (I get it), pick a blurry one without whatever he was yelling so he doesn’t get the spotlight.
By the way… block or charge? pic.twitter.com/TEmFRCZPEA

According to a statement put out by the event, Schwarzenegger won’t be pressing charges.
Anyway, folks on Twitter were impressed.
Bounced off him like a ping pong ball hitting a gorilla. @Schwarzenegger is an absolute legend! https://t.co/TjP7yKDGzS

Some idiot tried to drop kick 71yr old @Schwarzenegger. Like a mosquito kickin a rhino it didn’t even bother my guy… #Legend pic.twitter.com/vvGujAYvLs

That guy dropkicked a 71 year-old, and it barely made an impact. That guy jumped up with speed and used his leg muscles to kick a 71 year-old in the back, and all Arnold Schwarzenegger did was turn around like: "Hey, please stop jostling those around you. That's impolite."

Schwarzenegger — who is remarkably self-aware, pretty good at social media and, despite being a Republican politician, also intensely committed to fighting climate change — enjoyed the responses to him being kicked in the back by a rando.
Keep your analogies coming, my friend! They’re fantastic.
