A rhyming-named Floridian (Celine Chasteen) had a pretty amazing encounter in Jupiter, Florida this week. She was approached by a manatee, who tried for a ride on her paddleboard. The baby sea cow was pretty high on the bro-scale — dishing high fives and staying mellow. Probs just planning a dope hang sesh with the ladies.
We presume that Celine and her friend paid attention when the marine biologist came to talk in elementary school, because they don’t try to grab the herbivore — never daring to foul his chill. Even though Chasteen said the encounter was “the craziest thing ever,” they handle the whole situation like pros (which is more than we can say for this girl). And it went a thousand times better than this paddleboarder’s encounter with a whole grip of ‘tees. Admire their proper manatee etiquette (and maybe just a little bit of the critter’s cuteness) in the clip up top.
While manatees are already pretty good at slowly floating around in the water naturally, it’s possible this one was just looking to spice things up a bit by going for a ride. Fair enough, brah.
