‘Buffy The Vampire Slayer’ Star Tom Lenk Recreates Celebrity Red Carpet Styles Using Household Items

Tom Lenk is probably best known for his role on Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Andrew Wells, first appearing in season six as a super villain member of “The Trio,” later joining the Scooby gang initially as a prisoner and eventually as a willing participant to help prevent the apocalypse in season seven. Although Lenk has appeared regularly in stage, on screen, and in commercial work regularly since his days on Buffy, he’s just now starting to get attention for a different reason.

In a new Instagram series using the hashtag #LenkLewkForLess, Lenk recreates celebrity red carpet styles (as well as scenes and posters from films) in the most DIY way possible, such as the above image that spoofs Mariah Carey losing a shoe at the NBC upfronts earlier this week.

Many of his masterpieces are created with ordinary household items, such as garden hoses, trash bags, Swiffer pads, duct tape, and dried pasta. Here are a few of his replications of Sarah Jessica Parker, Caitriona Balfe, Julianne Moore, and Kristen Stewart:

The recent Met Gala was also a huge inspiration to Lenk:

He even got old pal Eliza Dushku to play along with these spoofs of The Huntsman: Winter’s War:

Clearly, this is the most important post-Buffy work of any cast member to date. Suck on that, Danny Strong.
