I’m pretty sure we’re supposed to have blinders on to this sort of thing right now, what with the World Cup in full swing and the Fourth of July coming up, but that’s what makes the timing of ADHD‘s latest animation — “Captain America Statistics Song!” — kind of brilliant, and hopefully eye-opening.
The updated theme song for Captain America runs through a healthy dose of sobering, American exceptionalism-shattering statistics (all courtesy of CIA.gov) that will have even the most patriotic among us weeping into our stacks of fried butter sticks. It’s a lot like the opening scene of The Newsroom, except with silly animations standing in for all the Sorkin cheese.
